CM Majhi to conduct aerial survey of flood hit Ganjam

CM Majhi and Pujari will review the ongoing relief and rescue operations and assess whether assistance is reaching affected people promptly

CM Majhi to conduct aerial survey of flood hit Ganjam: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit flood-affected Ganjam and Gajapati districts at around 12 noon on Friday. He will visit these areas to assess the ground situation following the impact of Cyclone Arnab. Revenue and Disaster Minister Suresh Pujari will accompany him.

The Chief Minister will reportedly first conduct an aerial survey of the two districts to assess the extent of flooding and damage. He will later land at Rangeilunda and hold discussions with officials to review the situation, particularly in the worst-affected areas.

Minister Suresh Pujari on Thursday held a series of high-level review meetings to monitor the flood situation in Ganjam and Gajapati. Anu Garg also chaired a review meeting at the State Emergency Operations Centre operating under the Special Relief Commissioner’s (SRC) office.

Both CM Majhi and Pujari will review the ongoing relief and rescue operations and assess whether assistance is reaching affected people promptly. They will also take stock of the progress of rescue efforts in the flood-hit areas and the measures being taken to provide relief to those affected.
