Diamonds detected in Nuapada Kalmidad
Diamond Reserved Discovered In ODISHA : Diamond discovered under the soil of Odisha. Diamond mines have been discovered in Nuapada. Ruby has been identified in Hinjilibahal-Jilingibar of Junagadh block of Kalahandi district. Diamonds have been identified in Kalmidadar of Nuapada block. Its technical, economic and other related appraisal work is underway. Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena has given a reply in this regard. Similarly, rubies have been identified in Hinjilibahal-Jilingibar of Junagadh block of Kalahandi district.
Till now, no pearl mines have been identified in Odisha. In Odisha, gold has been found to be present along with copper-bearing rocks, graphite, nickel in the Adas-Rampalli area under the Riamal block of Deogarh district. It is estimated that gold is present along with copper-bearing rocks in the Madanasahi-Kanjia area under the Kuliana block of Mayurbhanj district. Gold has been found in the Gopur-Jaldihi area under the Banspal block of Keonjhar district.
