Former Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu has received a death threat. According to inputs, the threat was made via phone call in the name of Malik Ishaq, the leader of Pakistani terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
The caller threatened Ravneet Singh on the phone, ‘A 1 kg explosive device had been ready for him. It may be used at an opportune moment in which many people will be killed.’ The caller further warned that people accompanying Bittu would also suffer, according to the rough transcription of the audio. The caller used abusive language while issuing the threat and told Bittu to be prepared.
Following threat, minister’s security arrangements have been increased.
