Devashish Makhija directed action thriller revolves around a mother who transforms into a fierce, almost goddess like figure to save her child from the net of child trafficking gang. The film was scheduled to release on Netflix on September 3, 2026. But the film embroiled in controversy before it reaches audiences. The film has faced an plagiarism allegation from writer Kalyan Bandi. In the comment section of the film’s promotional post Kalyan claimed that the official writer and producer of the project Kanika Dhillon has stolen his script. He also alleged that the concept of ‘Gandhari’ has been copied along with the title. Furthermore, he also shared a screenshot of an e-mail converstion with Disney Star as an evidence.

The film also stars Ishwak Singh, Chhaya Kadam, Swastika Mukherjee, Mita Vashisth and Jatin Sarna. The film marks one of Pannu’s most physically demanding roles and combines intense action with an emotional storyline. However, the production house, Kathha Pictures, has now issued a statement clarifying that the allegations are false and baseless.
