In a televised address, Ayatollah Khamenei issued a stern warning to US President Donald Trump, stating: “Trump should focus on his own country’s problems. We will not tolerate interference by foreign powers in our country.” He further condemned protesters as “hired agents of foreign powers” and called for national unity against external and internal threats.
US Actions Expand to Latin America
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump appears to be shifting focus to Mexico, announcing potential military operations against drug cartels. Trump has reportedly pressed Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum to allow US troops to operate within Mexico, a request she rejected.
The move follows previous US interventions, including military action in Venezuela, the capture of Nicolas Maduro, and naval operations targeting drug and oil shipments in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific. Since September, more than 100 people have reportedly died in these operations, raising regional concerns over stability.
Tensions With Denmark and Europe
President Trump’s interest in acquiring Greenland has sparked alarm in Denmark, which has pledged to defend the territory against any potential US incursion. European countries, including France and Canada, have expressed strong support for Denmark, while European discontent with US policies continues to grow.
