  • 1 cup jaggery
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder

Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. Toast Sesame Seeds: Roast 1 cup of sesame seeds on a slow flame until golden brown.
  2. Roast Nuts: In the same pan, lightly fry peanuts, walnuts, almonds, cashews, and desiccated coconut (do not brown the coconut).
  3. Fry Wheat Flour: Add 2 tablespoons of ghee in the pan and roast wheat flour until fragrant.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Grind peanuts coarsely (after peeling) and mix all roasted ingredients with the flour. Ensure ingredients are cool before mixing.
  5. Melt Jaggery: In a pan, add 2-3 tablespoons of ghee and melt 1 cup jaggery. Pour the melted jaggery into the flour-nut mixture.
  6. Shape Laddus: Add ½ cup ghee to the mixture, mix well, and shape into laddus using your hands. One cup of sesame seeds yields about 1 kilogram of laddus.
  7. Optional: Garnish with pistachios for added flavor and texture.
