In a recent interview, Anurag has openly talked about his relationship with Shubhra. And what Shubhra herself thinks about marriage. Anurag said, ‘I am very happy to be with her. I want to be with her. I will do whatever I have to do for her. There is so much in life. I’m happy with what I have. I just don’t want to lose it.’ Anurag admitted that initially he tried to keep Shubhra away from him because of the age gap.
Shubhra Shetty, used to work as an assistant director in Anurag Kashyap’s production company Phantom Films. Shubhra said that Anurag Kashyap wanted her to take her own decisions and not feel bound by the relationship. She also revealed that her parents initially were not in favour of their relationship. Because when she started dating the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ filmmaker, she was around 20 years old. The filmmaker was much older than her. Anurag was married twice and had one child. The couple was first spotted together in 2015, while Anurag publicly acknowledged their relationship a few years later in 2018.
Kashyap was married to editor Aarti Bajaj in 1997. Their six-year marriage ended in 2009, and they have a daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap. He later began dating actor Kalki Koechlin, whom he married in 2011. He also introduced Kalki to Bollywood with his romantic musical Dev D. The couple divorced after four years of marriage.
