IndiGo flight makes emergency landing, all passengers safe: An IndiGo flight made an emergency landing in Gujarat’s Rajkot International Airport on Monday after the crew detected smoke in the cargo hold. The flight was travelling from Dubai to Mumbai, sources said.

A total of 194 passengers were on board IndiGo flight 6E 1452. All of them evacuated safely. After detecting smoke in the plane’s cargo hold, the pilots contacted Rajkot International Airport, which then declared a full emergency.

Confirming the development, Rajkot Airport director Diganta Borah said ‘ An IndiGo flight operating from Dubai to Mumbai made an emergency landing at Rajkot airport after smoke was detected in the cargo hold area. The aircraft landed safely, and all passengers are safe.’
