India won the toss and decided to bowl first. Ireland scored 182 runs by losing nine wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Chasing this score, the Indian team scored 148 runs and got all out. Opener Abhishek Sharma scored the most runs with 50 off 20 balls, but could not lead the team to victory. Young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi did not get a chance to debut in this match. Arshdeep Singh and Akshar Patel took two wickets each, while Harshit Rana took three wickets. Not only was India’s bowling very poor, but India’s fielding was also very poor.
