Khandagiri Jatra Mahakumbha 2026 : The Khandagiri Mela has begun. From today (Tuesday), the Khandagiri Yatra Mahakumbha is going to begin. It is not just a special day for drama lovers, but also for artists who are waiting to provide them with entertainment. The crowd will increase from evening. The constant call of the opera party owners, “Eaade…Eaade…. Aaila Aaila…,” will be heard in the ears from morning to morning. The preparations for the first phase of the Yatra stage have reached the final stage. Only the curtain will rise and the audience will see the record dance. The Khandagiri Yatra Mahakumbh will continue from today till February 7. 15 opera parties will perform the Yatra in two stages at 7 pavilions. In the first phase, 7 Yatra parties will descend on the Maidan.
This year, the opera ‘Ashok Samrat’ is first staged at the Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab Cultural Council Iginia Mancha. The party will stage its much-talked-about play ‘Adha Rahigala Aam Kahani’. Actor Milan, film actor Ankit, villain Manoj, comedian Ganesh, actress Sara and villain Sarojini are playing roles in it.
Sanatan Seva Samiti, the first to hit the ground running on the Ghatikiya stage, is Konark Sammanatya. The party will stage its much-talked-about play ‘Tu Bodhe Mo Bhagyare Nahu’. It stars veteran actors Panda, Mituna, Nalini in key roles.
Indira Yuva Sanskritik Parishad, Jagmara stage will be performing the much talked about play ‘Tu Mo Bajrangi’ by Yatra Singh Bahini. Actors Piyush, Kshitish, Sweety, Bablu are playing the lead roles in this play.
Finally, a play, ‘Chandashok’, will be performed by Dhauli at the Anant Keshari Deb Cultural Youth Council, Ukkagiri stage. Actors Rudra, Sharmika, Laxmidhar, and Akash will play the lead roles in this play.
Maa Mangala Cultural Youth Council, Jagmara Manch will be performing a play by Yatra ‘Swarna Mahal’ from the 29th. The title or name of which has not been released yet. Senior actor Subhash Behera is in the role of Swarna Mahal.
Jayadurga Cultural Council will perform the play ‘Janwar’ at the Jagmara stage from the 29th. It features actors Kahna Swain and Tiki. Kalinga Cultural Council will perform the play ‘Jatra Indabhuvan’ at the Jagmara stage from the 30th.
