Man stabbed 12 times over wife’s affair: A 35-year-old man was allegedly stabbed after he discovered his wife’s affair. Police have arrested his wife and her gym trainer for planning the attack.
The shocking incident came to light from Ghaziabad’s Vasundhara sector-1 under Indirapuram police limits. According to police, Shashank Kanthariya(35) was married to Priya Sharma(32) about 4 years ago. Both worked as senior accountants in Delhi. This was Priya’s second marriage. The couple’s three and half a year old daughter was staying with them as well.
Pratap Singh works as a trainer at the ‘Fitness Headquarters’ gym. Priya Sharma had been going to the same gym for the past seven to eight months. During that time, the two grew close, and their friendship turned into a romantic relationship. Both began chatting on WhatsApp. Pratap and Priya were also planning to marry. Meanwhile, Shashank came to know about his wife’s extramarital affair.
On October 25, Pratap and Priya plotted a plan to kill Shashank. The next day on October 26 around 5:15 am Priya was leaving house to go to the Gym. She deliberately left the front door unlocked while her husband and daughter slept. Pratap went to Priya’s home with a knife. He stabbed Shashank about 12 times and tried to fled away from the spot. The victim woke up and raised an alarm. His daughter began crying. Neighbours rushed towards the spot. They took the injured Shashank to the nearby hospital. Now he is undergoing treatment.

Shashank’s brother, Ritesh, lodged a police complaint after the incident. An FIR was registered under relevant sections. Both accused were arrested on Tuesday and produced before a court, which sent them to judicial custody. Further investigations are on.
