Nationwide Fuel Price Surge: Petrol Rises ₹3.14, Diesel ₹3.11

Consumers Feel the Heat as Petrol and Diesel Prices Increase Across the Country

Nationwide Fuel Price Surge: Petrol Rises ₹3.14, Diesel ₹3.11: The long-expected fuel price hike has finally hit the country. Petrol prices have increased by ₹3.14 per litre, while diesel prices have gone up by ₹3.11. In Delhi, petrol is now priced at nearly ₹98 per litre and diesel at around ₹91 per litre.

Nationwide Fuel Price Surge: The increase comes as global crude oil prices continue to rise due to the Iran-US conflict and instability in the Middle East. Crude oil rates have surged from about $70 to $126 per barrel, causing major losses for state-run oil companies.

After keeping fuel prices unchanged for nearly four years, the government has now approved the hike to reduce the burden on oil firms. Amid the economic pressure, PM Modi has also appealed to citizens to use fuel carefully and cut unnecessary expenses as the Rupee weakens against the US Dollar.
