NTA Tightens Security for NEET-UG Re-Exam Across India
NEET-UG Re-Exam Today: NTA Deploys Strong Security for 22 Lakh Students: NEET-UG 2026, an important exam for over 2.2 million medical aspirants, is being held today, June 21. The exam is being conducted again after the earlier paper leak incident.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made strict arrangements to ensure a fair and secure exam across the country and abroad.
Exam Details:
The exam is being held in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. Around 5,440 exam centres have been set up, with over 95,000 classrooms ready. The test is available in English and 12 regional languages.
Strict Security Measures:
To stop cheating, strong security systems have been put in place:
-Over 138,000 CCTV cameras for live monitoring
-AI-based system to detect suspicious activity
-Around 51,000 jammers to block mobile and Bluetooth signals
-Biometric and face verification for all students
-Heavy staff deployment including invigilators and security officers
Exam Process:
Students are checked thoroughly before entering centres. Question papers are securely stored and distributed through safe channels. Answer sheets will be collected under strict supervision.
Student Facilities:
NTA has also arranged basic facilities like drinking water, ORS, ambulances, shaded waiting areas for parents, and clocks in exam rooms. Extra time and special support have been provided for the smooth conduct of the exam.
