FIR to Be Filed Against Swami Avimukteshwaranand, Disciple After Court Order
Prayagraj Court Orders FIR Against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati in POCSO Case; A significant directive has been issued by the ADJ Rape and POCSO Special Court Prayagraj concerning allegations of sexual misconduct against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati.
Additional District Judge (POCSO Act) Vinod Kumar Chaurasia has ordered the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his disciple Mukundanand Giri. The court has directed the police to formally register the case and initiate an investigation.
FIR to Be Registered at Jhunsi Police Station
Following the court’s order, a case will now be registered at the Jhunsi Police Station. The directive came after an application was filed under Section 173(4) by Ashutosh Brahmachari Maharaj, who sought the registration of an FIR and strict legal action.
The court recorded the statements of two minors who made the allegations on February 13, with videography conducted as part of the proceedings. After reviewing the police report and hearing arguments, the court reserved its decision before ultimately directing that an FIR be lodged.
Allegations and Claims
Ashutosh Brahmachari has claimed that he submitted a CD containing alleged evidence related to the case. He stated that he considers the court’s directive a step toward justice and announced plans to undertake a “Sanatan Yatra” on foot from Prayagraj to Vidya Math in Varanasi to present what he describes as the truth to the public.
According to his earlier statements, the allegations surfaced during the Magh Mela, when a minor and another individual approached him with claims of sexual misconduct. He alleged that disciples associated with the religious leader pressured the children into inappropriate acts in the name of serving their guru.
Investigation to Proceed
With the court’s order now in place, police authorities are expected to begin formal legal proceedings and conduct a detailed investigation into the allegations.
The matter has sparked intense discussion in religious and social circles. Authorities have emphasized that further action will be taken in accordance with the law as the investigation progresses.
The accused have not publicly responded to the allegations at the time of reporting. The case remains under investigation.
