Shubman Gill Stars as Gujarat Titans Defeat KKR
TATA IPL 2026, Match 25: Gujarat Titans Beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 5 Wickets : Gujarat Titans registered a convincing five-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders in the 25th match of the Indian Premier League. Chasing a target of 181 runs, Gujarat successfully reached the total in 19.4 overs, thanks to a brilliant innings by captain Shubman Gill.
Batting first after winning the toss, KKR had a poor start, losing three early wickets. However, Cameron Green played a crucial knock of 79 runs, supported by Rovman Powell, who scored 27. Despite their efforts, KKR were bowled out for 180, with Gujarat bowlers making regular breakthroughs.
In response, Gujarat got off to a strong start with Gill and Sai Sudharsan. Gill led from the front with an impressive 86-run innings and was well supported by Jos Buttler and others. Gujarat comfortably chased the target, handing KKR their fifth defeat of the season. Gill was named Player of the Match for his match-winning performance.
