Washington Sundar’s Last-Over Six Seals Thrilling Win for Gujarat Titans
TATA IPL 2026, Match 46: Gujarat Titans Beat Punjab Kings by 4 Wickets: Gujarat Titans won a thrilling match against Punjab Kings by 4 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Gujarat needed 11 runs in the last over. Washington Sundar hit a six on the fifth ball and finished the match. He remained not out on 40 runs. Gujarat chased the target of 164 runs in 19.1 overs and recorded their sixth win of the season.
Earlier, Punjab scored 163 runs in 20 overs. Their start was very poor as they lost 5 wickets early. Suryansh Shedge played a good innings of 57 runs and helped the team reach a fighting total. Marcus Stoinis also scored 40 runs.
Gujarat bowlers performed very well. Jason Holder took 4 wickets, while Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada took 2 wickets each.In the chase, captain Shubman Gill got out early. Then Sai Sudharsan scored 57 runs and built a strong base for the team. In the end, Sundar’s big six helped Gujarat win the match in an exciting finish.
