Mumbai chased a huge target of 229 runs with 8 balls remaining. This became their biggest successful chase in IPL history. The team was led by Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton, who gave a strong start with a big opening partnership.
Lucknow Super Giants scored 228 runs for 5 wickets. Nicholas Pooran played a fast innings of 63 runs from just 21 balls, while Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, and Himmat Singh also contributed useful runs. Pooran’s quick batting helped Lucknow reach a strong total, but their bowling failed to defend it.
Mumbai Indians started the chase strongly as Rohit Sharma scored 84 runs and Ryan Rickelton made 83 runs. Both added 146 runs for the first wicket. Later, Suryakumar Yadav and other batters finished the match comfortably. Mumbai reached the target in 19.4 overs and won the game easily.
