According to TMZ, Chuck Russell was found unconscious at his residence in San Diego on Wednesday. His family called 911 but the emergency department personnel could not revive him. The official cause of death has not yet been disclosed. Media reports indicate that family members are travelling to California to seek further clarification.
The news of Chuck Russell’s death has shocked everyone. There was a wave of mourning in Hollywood. Russell began his Hollywood career as a production assistant, assistant director, and production supervisor on independent films. He got his first big break as a screenwriter in 1984 with the science-fiction thriller Dreamscape starring Dennis Quaid. He had a long-standing creative partnership with filmmaker Frank Darabont and worked together on various projects throughout his career. In his personal life, Chuck had two marriages. His first wife was Patti Rao. After his divorce, Chuck got married to actress Aniya in 2007. He had three children from his first wife.
