You Can Withdraw Money From PF In A Second : A big change is coming for over 8 crore members of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The Labour Ministry is preparing a new mobile app, which will be launched in April 2026. Through this app, members can instantly transfer their eligible EPF money directly to their bank accounts using UPI (Unified Payments Interface). According to sources, a certain portion of the EPF will be kept safe (frozen) for retirement, but a larger portion will be available in bank accounts through UPI.
Members in this new app:
• View available balance
• You can transfer using UPI PIN.
• Can check passbook balance and enjoy other services
Currently, members have to submit withdrawal claims, which takes time. But with the new system, it will be much easier and faster. This app will also work with the UMANG app and UAN portal, but it will be more user-friendly. EPFO is currently testing on 100 dummy accounts. The automatic settlement system was started during Covid, which has now been increased to Rs 5 lakh. With this new app, the burden of more than 5 crore claims every year will be reduced and the service will be more modern.
Direct withdrawal is not possible as EPFO does not have a banking license, but it will be linked to banks through UPI. This change will bring great convenience to the members. Check epfindia.gov.in for the official announcement. Everyone is waiting for this facility to come soon!
