Zubin Garg death was not an accident , it was murdered
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday claimed that late Zubin Garg was murdered in Singapore.
Zubin died while scuba diving in Singapore on September 19. He had gone to the Southeast Asian country to participate in the fourth edition of the North East India Festival (NEIF). According to a report, Chief Minister Sarma claimed that Zubin was killed there.
Chief Minister Sarma told reporters, “I am not calling it an accident. The chargesheet in the Zubin Garg murder case is to be filed by December 17. I am aiming to file it by December 8. We are ready now.”
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Assam Police is currently probing the death of Zubin Garg. The Chief Minister said, “If any incident takes place abroad, then approval from the Home Ministry is required. Yesterday, I met Union Home Minister Amit Shah for early approval.” He added that the SIT will write to the Home Ministry in the next three to four days seeking the necessary approval. “After this, we will file the chargesheet,” the Chief Minister said.
