Sunrisers Hyderabad Register First Win, Defeat KKR Convincingly
KKR vs SRH, IPL 2026: Sunrisers Hyderabad Beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 65 Runs: A half-century from Heinrich Klaasen and an all-round performance by Nitish Kumar Reddy helped Sunrisers Hyderabad register a convincing 65-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders.
Batting first, SRH got a flying start with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma adding 82 runs in quick time. After early wickets, Klaasen (52) and Reddy (39) steadied the innings with a crucial partnership, guiding the team to 226/8.
In reply, KKR struggled throughout the chase and were bowled out for 161 in 16 overs. Angkrish Raghuvanshi (52) and Rinku Singh (35) showed some resistance, but lacked support from the rest of the batting lineup.
With the ball, Jaydev Unadkat picked up three wickets, while Reddy contributed with two, completing a fine all-round display. This was SRH’s first win of the season, while KKR suffered their second consecutive defeat.
