Bad News For General People : The rising tensions between Iran, the US and Israel have increased economic pressure and inflation is starting to take its toll. If the situation continues, then everyday items from soap to soda and cooking oil will become expensive in a short time. This will make life difficult for the common man. Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies are preparing to increase prices once again from the first quarter of the financial year 2027.
According to a report, the rapid rise in crude oil prices and a weak rupee are pushing up input costs. This is making it difficult for companies to maintain stable prices. The brokerage firm estimates that if the current inflationary trend continues, prices will increase by at least 3-4 percent in the first quarter of fiscal 2027.
The impact is expected to be limited to the fourth quarter of FY2026 due to current stock levels, as the industry prepares for a turnaround as these stocks decline.
