Gold Falls in Domestic and Global Markets, Dollar Strength Pressures Bullion

Gold Rate Today: Prices Decline as Global Uncertainty Impacts Market: Gold prices witnessed a slight decline on Wednesday amid rising geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), 24-carat gold futures slipped by ₹89 to ₹1,51,983 per 10 grams. In the international market, spot gold prices also weakened, falling to $4,722.26 per ounce. The decline comes after recent high volatility, with gold previously touching an all-time high of ₹1,80,779 per 10 grams in January.

The fall in prices is largely attributed to global factors, including the lack of progress in US-Iran talks held in Islamabad. Rising tensions in West Asia, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz, have increased uncertainty in the markets. A stronger US dollar and rising bond yields have further reduced the appeal of gold as a safe-haven asset, prompting investors to book profits.

In the domestic market, gold prices also saw a dip across major cities. According to bullion associations, 24-carat gold in Delhi dropped to around ₹1,55,000 per 10 grams. Market experts suggest that continued geopolitical developments and global economic indicators will play a key role in determining the future direction of gold prices.
