IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert Across India for Next Few Days: The beginning of May has brought pleasant weather conditions to several northern states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and the national capital Delhi. However, the calm conditions are expected to give way to turbulent weather as the India Meteorological Department has issued a severe weather alert for multiple regions across the country.

According to the IMD, strong winds, thunderstorms, and heavy rainfall are likely to impact Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim between May 4 and 5. These weather systems may bring intense rainfall activity along with gusty winds.

Southern states are also expected to witness unstable weather conditions. Regions including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka are likely to experience isolated thunderstorms and strong winds throughout the week.
