V.D. Satheesan Named Kerala Chief Minister-Designate: Congress Ends 10-Day Suspense .AICC on Thursday (May 14, 2026) announced Congress leader V.D. Satheesan as the CM designate of Kerala, putting an end to the high drama and suspense that lasted all of ten days after the declaration of the State Assembly election results on May 4. The announcement came a day after former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi met Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for about 40 minutes, after which the Congress stated that all deliberations and discussions by the high command are complete .
Who is V.D. Satheesan?
