The base prices for several MacBook and iPad models have seen a hike between 20% and 40% in comparison to their original prices. The price of the M5-powered MacBook Pro lineup has increased by 20%. The base 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 chip and 16GB RAM, which was launched at ₹1,69,900 in India, is now listed at ₹2,39,900. The iPad Air has seen an even steeper rise, with the entry-level 13-inch iPad Air now costing ₹1,19,900, up from its launch price of ₹84,900.
The latest price revision spans multiple product categories, with MacBooks, desktop Macs, iPads, Apple TV models, and HomePod speakers all becoming more expensive in India. The company has attributed the increase to an unprecedented rise in global DRAM and NAND flash storage prices, driven largely by growing demand for AI infrastructure.
