Delivery boy kidnapped, robbed in Dating App Trap, five arrested: In a shocking incident, Nagpur police have busted a gang allegedly involved in kidnapping, assaulting, and robbing a delivery boy. All 5 accused were produced before the court and remanded to police custody.
According to police, the incident occurred around 12.30 am on June 22 when the delivery boy(victim) was returning home from work. One of the accused allegedly approached him near Mankapur Chowk seeking a lift. After travelling a short distance, the accused called his associates, who intercepted the victim, forcibly took control of him and snatched his motorcycle keys, mobile phone and ATM card. The victim was allegedly held hostage for 3 hours.
The accused took him to several locations, continuously threatening and assaulting him. They forced him to contact his family and friends with a false story to arrange money. Around ₹10,000 was transferred into his account through multiple transactions. This gang allegedly used a gay dating app to befriend victims, record sensitive conversations, and blackmail them for money.

Shoaib Zakaria (23), Krunal Manjarede (19), Shoaib Ali Sultan Ali Sayyad (23), Farhan Faizan Khan (21) and Rizwan Shoaib Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed (21). During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed to the crime. Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway. The accused allegedly targeted youngsters by gaining their trust through online conversations before trapping them in planned criminal activities.
