Mother throws 6-year-old into lake: A woman allegedly threw her 6-year-old daughter into lake struggling to afford treatment cost for her treatment. The girl’s condition is stable now said doctor. Following the incident police have launched investigation.
According to police, Shabana, girl’s mother, was a resident of Hasmatpet in Hyderabad’s old Bowenpally area under Domalguda police limits. Shabana’s husband abandoned her long back. Afterwards she managed to work as a domestic help to raise her two daughters. She was also struggling financially for child care and medical treatment. One of Shabana’s daughter named Ruksana(6)was suffering from intestinal problem. Family treated Ruksana in many hospitals but her condition did not improved as expected.
The shocking incident occurred on Thursday around 2pm when Shabana allegedly threw her 6-year old daughter in the Hussain Sagar lake. An auto driver was present at the scene immediately jumped into the lake and rescued the girl. Following the incident the girl was taken to Gandhi hospital for treatment. The timely assistance saved the girls life.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances behind the incident.
