As per preliminary investigation, the incident happened in Belsand village under Madhopur police limits in Gopalganj district of Bihar. Actor Tripathy’s elder brother, Bijendra Nath Tiwari, was at home. Sunday evening, he was attacked suddenly with a sharp weapon by some unidentified miscreants. He was taken to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital in serious condition.
