The film’s producer Namit Malhotra has announced that the release of the official trailer of ‘Ramayana Part 1’, which was slated to release on July 24 (Friday), has been postponed indefinitely. Namit Malhotra revealed on his official Instagram account that ‘Ramayana’ will now be released worldwide in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment. He wrote that his dream was to bring ‘Ramayana’ to the whole world and now this dream is coming true. Namit said that it will be a proud moment in the history of over 100 years of Indian cinema when ‘Ramayana’ will be presented to the world audience like a big Hollywood project. According to him, this will help the world to know Indian culture, traditions and mythology from a new perspective. He also thanked the fans for their support.

Meanwhile, according to the information available on the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) website, the trailer of the film has received ‘U’ (Universal) certificate. The film’s certificate was issued on 15 July. According to records, two versions of the trailer have been prepared. The first version is 4 minutes and 15 seconds long, while the theatrical version will be 4 minutes long.
