Odisha Govt Encourages Mass Participation In ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Drive: The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is set to take place nationwide from August 9 to August 15. This aims to strengthen patriotism among citizens. The Odisha government has issued directives to all district administrations and concerned departments to ensure large-scale participation in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in line with guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
In an official circular issued by the Department of Odia Language, Literature & Culture, the state government called for strict implementation of the national campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
As per the instructions, citizens, government offices, educational institutions and organisations have been urged to hoist the national flag at homes, offices and premises during the campaign period. People have also been encouraged to light diyas or lamps in the evening as a mark of tribute to the nation. To commemorate the sacrifices and contributions of freedom fighters, exhibitions based on ‘Tiranga and Vande Mataram’ will be organised. School students will be encouraged to participate in the national online quiz.
The circular further recommends collective singing of the national anthem and national song at public gatherings and institutions. Participants have been advised to take a ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ and upload it on the official Har Ghar Tiranga portal. District Collectors and other officers have been directed to ensure wide publicity of the campaign through print, electronic and social media, in coordination with the Press Information Bureau and other agencies. Compliance reports are to be submitted through proper channels. In addition, Tiranga motorcycle and bike rallies will be held at the district and panchayat levels.
