East Zone Wins Duleep Trophy After Final Ends in a Draw: The Duleep Trophy final between East Zone and South Zone in Chennai ended in a draw. However, East Zone won the title because they had a first-innings lead.
East Zone, led by Ishan Kishan, scored 388 runs in their second innings and finished with a total lead of 584 runs.
Ishan Kishan Shines: Ishan Kishan had an outstanding match with the bat. After scoring 270 runs in the first innings, he added 80 runs in the second, finishing with 350 runs in the match.
Shikhar Mohan also scored 52 runs in the second innings, completing two consecutive half-centuries.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi Struggles: Young opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 44 runs in the first innings but could manage only 8 runs in the second innings. Despite the draw, East Zone’s first-innings advantage helped them lift the Duleep Trophy.
