Rashmi Desai’s comeback after 8 years with ‘Sayoneee’: Popular television actress Rashmi Desai is making a comeback after nearly 8 years. Talking about her long break the actress said simply appearing on screen is not enough. Your character must be powerful enough to capture the audience for a long time.

Why Rashmi Desai was away from limelight for nearly 8 years? Wasn’t she getting any offers or role as per her choice? Reacting over these questions the actress revealed reason behind her long break from TV screen. She said, ‘Simply appearing on screen is not enough. Over the years she received many offers but rejected. She waited for the character and story, she could connect from the heart.’

Rashmi Desai will be seen in star plus’s upcoming show ‘Sayoneee’. The actress said she liked the character ‘Sayoneee’. Her journey with the character ‘Maya’, her quest has come to an end. ‘Maya’ is not a fictional character but very practical and real character, Desai added.

Desai also said that every artist wants to play a beautiful character. I didn’t want to return to TV just for sake of returning. I was looking for a purpose. As actors, we get many opportunities, but it’s not just about appearing on screen, working, and earning money. You need to do something that people will remember for a long time, and I’m known for my work. ‘Sayoneee’ has that spark. I think the show’s story is bigger than its cast.

Speaking about Rashmi Desai’s career front, her role as ‘Tapasya Thakur’ in the serial ‘Uttaran’ made her popular in every household. She was recognized as a major television star. She subsequently appeared in popular roles in several serials, including ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’. She also appeared in reality shows like ‘Bigg Boss’, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ and ‘Nach Baliye’. She will now be seen in the serial ‘Sayoni,’ co-starring Janhvi Soni and Gautam Singh Wig. The show will air on Star Plus and JioHotstar from September 23rd at 7:30 pm.
