DUSU Elections 2026: Voting today, Seven candidates face off for president post: Election fever is on in Delhi University. Voting for Delhi University Student’s Union(DUSU) elections began amid tight security across university’s North and South campuses. The polling is taking place in two shifts with more than 1.51 lakh students eligible to vote.
The election is being conducted for the posts of president, vice-president, secretary and joint secretary. A total of 20 candidates are contesting the 4 central posts, according to reports on the final candidate list. DUSU has divided polling into two sessions to accommodate students attending morning and evening classes. Students attending morning or day classes can cast their votes from 8:30 am to 1 pm. Second session voting will be held from 3 pm to 7: 30 pm for students attending evening classes. Counting of votes will begin at 8 am on September 19.
