Susovan Sonu Roy Reinvents His Career After Bengali Television and Modelling Success: Susovan Sonu Roy started his career in television before moving into modelling and films. Over the years, he has worked across TV serials, advertisements, and feature films.

He made his television debut in 2019 with the Akash Aath serial Anandamoyee Maa, where he played a Vaishnav devotee. He later appeared in several Bengali TV shows, including Mohor, Korapakhi, Titli, Khelaghar, and Zee Bangla’s Jamuna Dhaki. In Korapakhi, he played a negative role opposite actress Parno Mitra.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he also began working in commercial modelling. Since 2023, he has featured in campaigns for brands like Holiday Inn Hotel, Dabur, Titan Eye+, Velocity Eyewear, Amazon, Spencer’s, Campus Shoes, Big Bazaar, Biotique, and Fiama Di Wills. He also took part in the Ethnic Elegance 2025 pageant, where he finished as first runner-up.

He is currently working on the Bengali film “Take Care Bhalobasa”, where he plays the character ‘Joy’. This is his first feature film after his TV and modelling career.

Born in Howrah on 19 July 1994, Susovan also spent part of his childhood in Guwahati. He lost his father at a young age and was raised by his mother. He learned Western dance during his college years at Dum Dum Motijheel Rabindra Mahavidyalaya and graduated in 2016. Later, he trained in acting under director Pijush Saha before entering television.

The film Take Care Bhalobasa tells the story of four friends and their changing relationships, with Susovan’s character playing an important part in the story’s development.
