A total of 24 trains including Vande Bharat, Garib Rath and Double Decker will be cancelled, while 8 trains will diverted
Major train services hit by maintenance work, check status of cancelled or diverted train: A major traffic block is underway on the Delhi- Rewari section of the Northern Railway. Train traffic will be affected on this route between October 5 and October 8, 2026. During this period, a total of 24 trains including Vande Bharat, Garib Rath and Double Decker will be cancelled, while 8 trains will diverted.
According to Northern Railway, modern automatic signaling system is being installed between Delhi Sarai Rohilla and Palam railway stations on Delhi-Rewari route. The railway will observe a 6-hour traffic block on October 7, 2026 to undertake the necessary works. The main block will be on October 7, due to its pre-non-interlocking and maintenance works. Rail traffic will start from October 5 and will continue till October 8.

Train No. 14087 Delhi – Jaisalmer Express will be cancelled on October 5th. The Delhi Sarai Rohilla – Bandra Terminus Garib Rath (12215) and Bandra Terminus – Delhi Sarai Rohilla Garib Rath (12216) will not run on October 6th. Similarly, the Jaisalmer – Delhi Express (14088), Tilak Bridge – Sirsa (15307), and Bhuj – Delhi Sarai Rohilla (20983) will be cancelled on October 6th. The greatest impact will be seen on October 7th, when a total of 17 trains will be cancelled.

On October 7, the Delhi Sarai Rohilla Double Decker (12985/12986), Ajmer – Delhi Sarai Rohilla Jan Shatabdi (12065/12066), Jodhpur – Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express (26481/26482), Chandigarh – Bandra Terminus (22452), Sirsa – Tilak Bridge (15308), and Delhi Sarai Rohilla – Bhuj (20984) will not run. Local trains, including the New Delhi–Shakur Basti Passenger (64095), Delhi Sarai Rohilla–Farrukhnagar (74033/74036), Delhi–Rewari Local (train numbers 54421, 54417, 74003, 74002), and Hisar–Delhi Passenger (54310), will also remain cancelled. Whereas on October 8, Bandra Terminus – Chandigarh Express (22451) will remain cancelled.
8 Trains Routes Changed
Due to the block, the routes of several trains have been changed. On October 6th, the Jammu Tawi–Barmer (train number 14662), Okha–Sabarmati (09523), Bhuj–Delhi (19403), Bhuj–Bareilly (14312), and Veraval–Haridwar (09203) trains have been diverted. On October 7th, the Bareilly–Bhuj (14321), Shakurbasti–Okha (09524), and Firozpur Cantt–Seoni Patalkot Express (20424) will operate on diverted routes instead of their regular routes.
