Amit Shah’s Odisha Visit cancelled

Amit Shah’s three-day visit to Odisha has been cancelled. Official sources confirmed that his programmes in Sambalpur, Baragada and Jharsuguda have been postponed.

Official sources confirmed that his programmes in Sambalpur, Baragada and Jharsuguda have been postponed. Bargarh MP Pradip Purohit confirmed the cancellation of the Union Minister due to an important official engagement at the centre.

Amit Shah was set to arrive in Jharsuguda on July 3 and proceed to Bargarh. Where he was to inaugurate a major BPCL integrated 1G and 2G bio-ethanol plant at Baulsingha village. The Rs 1,775 crore project, aimed at boosting biofuel production and supporting the national E20 blending target.

Shah was also scheduled to lay foundation stones for other development works in Bargarh. Public meetings, project inaugurations, and engagements with BJP workers and local leaders were also lined up on July 4 in Sambalpur.

However, persistent rain and adverse weather may be one of the reason for cancellation of Shah’s Odisha tour. The programmes will be rescheduled once weather conditions improve MP Pradeep Purohit stated.
