Big Decision At Secretary-Level Meeting: 65 thousand aspirants will get employment . These appointments will be available by the month of June. This decision was taken in a secretary-level meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that steps should be taken to fill the vacancies in various departments. He said that the target of 65 thousand government appointments should be met by June 2026.
After the new government came to power, 39,500 people have been appointed by various departments in the recruitment process. In the next three months, the Odisha Public Service Commission, Odisha Staff Selection Commission and Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission have been requested to make appointments for another 34,641 appointments as per the proposals of various departments.
The Principal Secretary, Finance Department discussed various problems faced by various departments regarding recruitment and their solutions. The Public Administration and Public Grievances Department has been asked to take steps to expedite the recruitment process in the coming year as well. Similarly, the meeting discussed the expenditure of the last budget. The meeting focused on completing the expenditure by March.
