Varun Chakravarthy Shines With the Ball
Defending 193, India faced early resistance as Michael Levitt and Max O’Dowd stitched together a steady 35-run opening stand. The breakthrough came in the sixth over when Varun Chakravarthy dismissed O’Dowd for 20.
Levitt soon followed, removed by Hardik Pandya, leaving the Netherlands at 51/2. A quick 49-run partnership between Bas de Leede and Colin Ackermann revived hopes briefly, but Chakravarthy struck again to dismiss Ackermann for 23, turning the tide firmly in India’s favor.
In the death overs, Noah Croes and Jack Lyon-Cachet attempted a late surge, but disciplined Indian bowling sealed the match. Chakravarthy finished with three wickets, while Shivam Dube picked up two. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya claimed one wicket each.
