Hair Care Tips in Monsoon

Are you stressed about monsoon hair fall? Try these tips: During the monsoon season, hair fall increases by up to 30%. During monsoons, sweat, dust, and excess oil accumulate on the scalp quickly. This can weaken the hair roots.

Although the monsoon gives relief from heat, it also causes many hair problems. Due to increased humidity and dirt in the air, the hair becomes weak, which can increase the problem of hair fall. People struggle with frizzy hair, itchy scalp, etc. In such a situation, hair problems can be reduced to a great extent. 1. Hair Wash: Washing your hair twice a week with a mild shampoo is enough. This will keep the scalp clean, and the natural moisture of the hair will also be maintained. After washing your hair, dry it gently with your hands instead of rubbing it vigorously with a towel.
  • Tying wet hair: Many people tie wet hair in a hurry. Wet hair is more fragile than normal and can break easily. Apart from this, the risk of fungal infection in the scalp also increases due to prolonged moisture. So let the hair dry completely and then tie it up.
  • Using the right comb: Use a comb with wide teeth. It puts less pressure on the hair and reduces the chances of breakage. Also, avoid sharing your comb with others to avoid problems like infection and lice.
  • Don’t neglect oiling: Regular oil massage can be beneficial. It nourishes the hair, improves blood flow and strengthens the roots. Hair can be washed after applying the oil for a few hours or overnight. Massage the scalp with coconut, almond or other hair oil once a week.
  • Avoid heat styling: Frizzy hair is common in the monsoon. In such a situation, excessive use of straighteners, curling irons or blow dryers can make the hair drier. It is better to let the hair dry naturally during this season and do minimal heat styling.
  • Healthy Diet: Nutritional deficiencies can also be a major cause of hair loss. During monsoons, one should take a diet rich in protein, iron, biotin and vitamins. Green vegetables, pulses, eggs, milk, curd, nuts and seasonal fruits provide essential nutrition to hair. Drinking enough water is also very important, as dehydration can affect the health of the hair.
