Shooters Rudrankksh Patil and Himanshu Dhillon qualified for the individual final
Asian Games 2026: India clinches silver in Men’s 10m Air Rifle team event: India shines at Asian Games with proud performances. India’s shooting contingent secured it’s 3rd silver medal at the Asian Games in the men’s 10m air rifle team event on Monday. The trio of Rudranksh Patil, Himanshu Dhilon and Parth Mane finished with a team total of 1890.1 points.
Rudrankksh finished with a score of 631.8 points to occupy third place in the individual qualification standings, while Himanshu ranked 7th with 630 points. Parth on other hand, missed out on a place in the individual final after finishing 10th with 628.3 points. Shooters Rudrankksh Patil and Himanshu Dhillon qualified for the individual final.
China claimed the gold with a world record team total of 1899.0 points, bettering their previous mark by 0.6 points. South Korea produced a strong fightback but had settle for bronze with a total of 1884.2 points.
This achievement follows two previous silver medals won by the women’s shooting squad on the opening day of the competition: a silver in the women’s 10-metre air rifle team event and an individual silver for Elavenil Valarivan in the women’s 10-metre air rifle individual final.
