Bankipur By-Poll: Prashant Kishore discloses assets in election affidavit: Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor and BJP’s Neeraj Kumar Sinha on Monday filed their nomination papers for the bypoll to the Bankipur assembly seat in Bihar. Prashant Kishor has declared movable and immovable assets worth Rs 198 crore in his election affidavit.
According to the affidavit filed before the election officer, Prashant has assets of more than 96 crores. He owns movable and immovable assets totaling over Rs 96.06 crore. He has movable assets worth Rs 22.19 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 73.87 crore. He has Rs 65,570 in cash. Prashant Kishor owns 100 percent stake in a private company. The same company gave Rs 85 crore to Jan Suraj Party and donated Rs 50 lakh to Jan Suraj Foundation.
Prashant Kishor also stated in the affidavit that his wife has movable property worth Rs 89.51 crore and immovable property worth Rs 12.42 crore. Prashant’s wife has Rs 1,95,200 in cash.
According to the affidavit, Prashant Kishor completed 10th from MP High School, Buxar in 1991 and 12th from Patna Science College in 1993. Between 1996 and 1999 he did his BBA from Lucknow University. During 2001 to 2003, he completed his MHA degree in Healthcare Management from Hyderabad. In 2010, he also studied French at Cavillam, Vichy, affiliated to the University of Clermont-Ferrand, France.
Bankipur Assembly constituency by- election is scheduled for July 30. Assembly by-elections are taking place in Bankipur because BJP leader Nitin Naveen resigned from this seat.
