Bankipur seat of Bihar has become vacant due to the resignation of previous MLA Nitin Navin, after which by-elections are being held here.

Bankipur, Datia, Manjalpur Polling Underway, 12.94% Highest Voter Turnout Till 9 am: By- elections are underway for Assembly Constituencies in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Voting for the by-elections began at 7 am today in Bihar’s Bankipur, Madhya Pradesh’s Datia and Gujarat’s Manjalpur.

Till 9 am voting turnout recorded 12.94%  in Datia, 4.61% in Bankipur and 6.06% voting in Manjalpur. In Bihar’s Bankipur, there is a triangular contest between BJP, Jansuraj and RJD. In Madhya Pradesh’s Datia and Gujarat’s Manjalpur, there is a clash between the BJP and the Congress. The election results for these seats will be declared on August 3.

At the same time, the reason for the by-election in the Datia seat of Madhya Pradesh is the termination of the membership of the previous MLA here. While the by-election in Gujarat’s Manjalpur seat is taking place due to the death of senior BJP MLA and former minister Yogesh Patel.
