The Statue Of Unity Maker Passed Away
Famous sculptor Ram Sutar , who created the Statue of Unity , has passed away. He was 100 years old at the time of his death. The magic of his hands was such that stones could come to life through him. Any stone he touched turned into a remarkable statue.

It should be noted that Ram Sutar had migrated to Delhi from his native Maharashtra in 1959 67 years ago. And he used to work there. But now his son Anil Sutar has announced his demise. He said, I am deeply saddened to inform you that my father Ram Bhanji Sutar breathed his last at our house on December 17th at midnight. His last rites and rituals will be performed on December 18th at 11 am. His last journey will start from Sector 19, A2, Noida and will proceed to the crematorium in Sector 94 near Supernova Building.
Ram Sutar was born on 19 February 1925 in Godhra, Gujarat. He has created many famous sculptures in his career. Ram Sutar has received many awards for his work, including the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan. In 2019, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award.
