Chief Minister Mohan Majhi Holds Review Meeting On War Situation : Today, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, in a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan, reviewed the steps being taken by the state government to address the problem of artificial shortage of various commodities created in the country and the state due to the war in West Asia.
The review revealed that the state has adequate supply of petroleum, gas and other commodities as per the requirement. The Chief Minister directed to take strict action against unscrupulous traders by conducting a state-wide crackdown to ensure that black marketing of essential commodities does not take place by creating an artificial shortage of cooking gas.
The Chief Minister also emphasized on maintaining sufficient stock of fertilizers for summer farming. The Chief Minister advised the government to create widespread public awareness about this problem so that the people of the state do not panic. It is worth noting that India depends on various Gulf countries for petrol and petroleum products as well as LNG. There is a possibility that this will affect both petrol and LPG due to the war situation in West Asia. The Chief Minister called this meeting today keeping in mind the availability and distribution system of all these products in the state.
The Chief Secretary gave a detailed account of the steps taken by the State Government to address the problem. The meeting discussed in detail the measures to ensure uninterrupted supply of petrol, cooking gas and fertilisers.
