A total of 1,03,26,162 beneficiaries received the instalment directly into their bank accounts, amounting to over Rs 5,160 crore. Among them, 2,21,054 women received Subhadra assistance for the first time.
CM Majhi Releases 5th Instalment of Subhadra Yojana: Subhadra scheme beneficiaries received the fifth installment of financial assistance(Rs 5000) on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima on Friday. Over Rs 5,160 crore was transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the accounts of around 1.03 crore beneficiaries across the state.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi formally disbursed the fifth instalment of the Subhadra Yojana at a grand programme in Lathipada, Tangipadia in Nayagada. Addressing the gathering, the CM underscored the government’s commitment strengthening women’s empowerment through the Subhadra scheme.Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, Khandapada MLA Dusmanta Kumar Swain, Puri MP Sambit Patra and Kandhamal MP Sukanta Kumar Panigrahi and several ministers were among those present at the programme. The event drew a crowd of more than 15,000 people.

The deputy CM said Officials and concerned bank representatives had earlier been directed to complete the DBT process within the stipulated time. They were also asked to strengthen banking arrangements and take all necessary measures to ensure that beneficiaries do not face any inconvenience during the disbursement.
