Delhi schools will remain shut on September 11. This order will apply equally to all private, government schools and aided schools of the capital.

Delhi schools to remain closed on Sept 11: Schools in Delhi will remain closed ahead of preparations and security arrangements for the 18th BRICS Summit to be held in Delhi. Top leaders from all over the world are participating in this high-profile event to be held at Pragati Maidan’s ‘Bharat Mandapam’. The administration has taken the measure to ease traffic congestion and ensure the smooth movement of international guests, convoys and the general public.

The Directorate of Education (DoE) of the Government of Delhi has issued an official circular regarding holiday on September 11. This order will apply equally to all private, government schools and aided schools of the capital. No school will be allowed to conduct physical classes on 11th. Many major schools have offered students the option of online assignments or virtual connect to compensate for this holiday.

The BRICS summit is scheduled for September 12th and 13th. September 11 was declared as a holiday to maintain logistics and protocols.
