Fifty students fell ill after eating hostel food: Around 50 students are hospitalized due to food poisoning in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka. Students are kept under observation, and their health conditions are stable, doctors said.
According to preliminary information The incident occurred at a hostel in Dandoti village. Several students complained of vomiting, severe stomach pain and discomfort after having their meal on Thursday night. The meal reportedly consisted of rice and leafy vegetable curry. The school authorities soon rushed the affected children to the Ramanagara district hospital.
The school authorities have launched an enquiry to determine the exact cause of the suspected food poisoning. While food samples are expected to be collected for laboratory analysis. The incident comes amid growing concerns over food safety in educational institutions.
Earlier this week, more than 30 students reportedly fell ill due to suspected food poisoning at a residential school in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi district after consuming a hostel meal. Further investigation is underway.
