Fire Breaks Out in Amravati NICU, 3 Newborns Dead: A major fire broke out at the District Women’s Hospital in Amravati, Maharashtra, around 3:30 AM. The fire started after a ventilator exploded in the NICU, where 39 newborns were being treated.

Doctors, nurses, and hospital staff quickly evacuated the babies. Six newborns were shifted to a super-speciality hospital, but sadly, three babies died. Some newborns also suffered burns and are receiving treatment.

A similar incident had earlier occurred at a district hospital in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, where a warmer caught fire. Three newborns were injured, and one later died during treatment.
