First Nipah virus case detected in Kerela, state on high alert: Kerala has reported its first case of Nipah virus. The infected person is 43 years old and a resident of Kozhikode. This suspected case has raised concern of the health department along with the state government.
The patient initially complained of mild fever, but later his condition worsened. He has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital and is being closely monitored by doctors. Health Department said the condition of the infected person is currently stable and he is being monitored continuously. Health Minister K. Muralidharan said that many people have come in contact with that person. Be patient at this time and don’t panic at all. Now the final report of the victim is awaited. Along with this, the necessary health check-up and monitoring process has also been started of people who came in contact with him health minister said.
